My Journey

I'm Abhay Kumar Tiwari, currently working as a GIS Trainee at MapmyIndia, where I focus on spatial data validation, POI-level data refinement, and improving the accuracy of map-based information using tools like MapInfo Professional and SQL.

My journey began with a strong foundation in full-stack development, and has evolved into a deep interest in geospatial intelligence and data engineering. I’m fascinated by how data — can be structured, refined, and scaled to power real-world applications that make an impact.

Supporting the Map Database Product Development team by working on data validation, POI management, and map refinement tasks using MapInfo Professional and SQL queries.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting data validation and refinement by using MapInfo Professional to identify and correct duplicate entries, inconsistent naming, and location mismatches across various map views
Working on POI (Point of Interest) data review and updates to ensure accurate and reliable location information in the mapping database
